Bracket Arms for Wood Poles

Columbia bracket arms provide the styles, sizes and strengths to design economical and safe configurations for distribution line circuits on tangent, angle and corner poles.  A single phase tap may be dead-ended on each of the four bracket arms illustrated.

All brackets have identical 4" x 7" base plates (see illustration below) which mount on the pole by means of two 5/8" bolts.  Slotted holes permit 4" to 5" bolt spacing.  Parts are standardized wherever possible for flexibility of use with CBA-235, CBA-231, CBA-221 and CBA-331 bracket adapters which attach to the brackets and support fuse cut-outs, lightning arresters, potheads and other desired assemblies.

All brackets are designed to support the usual maximum circuit sizes with appropriate safety factors.

Application photos illustrating the versatility of Columbia bracket arms and adapters for meeting design, operation, clearance and aesthetic requirements are shows on the Pole Line Hardware Applications page.  Bracket adapters are located on the Adapters for Bracket Arms page. .
